hlpix "Homepage Headline - Never Gonna Be Easy"
In the first 30 minutes, it felt like being trapped on a Motorway with a juggernaut approaching as New Street (who previously this month had beaten Millbrook 7-1, Ash 7-1, Petersfield 3-1 and Totton & Eling 5-0 ) seemed to score with abandon notching up 6 by half-time. To their credit, Verwood came out and performed with much more determination in the second albeit the result was already decided. Final score was 7-1. Clearly the team in form, New Street are now in third position in Division One. Verwood Town Supporters Matchman was Diop Evans. Prior to the start, everyone observed a minute's silence for Laverstock and Ford's Freddie Jones-Fontete who passed away in tragic circumstances recently.

Having previously played for the youth team before moving into football management it was an easy decision to make to join the management team. My aim is to help develop players so they can progress to play at a higher level. I’m here to bridge the gap and promote an ethos of if you are good enough you are old enough and we want to put players in an environment they enjoy.” Tom is holding player trials on the evening of Wednesday 23rd June at Potterne Park in Verwood.
