Verwood Town Annual 6-a-side Youth Tournament

Each June Verwood Town Youth hold an annual 6-a-side tournament formerly known as the "Rossgarth Tournament".

The tournament is well known to be one of the best tournaments in the area. Each year we have teams enter from several counties and are now pleased to offer a separate girls only section. This year it will take place over the weekend Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th June 2024

Registrations are now open for this years tournament. Spaces in the tournament sell out extremely fast so we recommend you reserve your space as soon as possible. This year you will be able to register and pay for your space online by clicking the relevant link below. Payment can be made via PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account to pay as you can check out as a guest. Any problems with payment please contact us.

The tournament allows Verwood Town YFC to raise vital funds for the club, and as a volunteer run organisation these funds allow the club to continue to grow, purchase equipment and develop and train our coaches further. This ensures that our players are given the best football experience we can offer and allows us to keep our registration fees to a minimum

Our 21st Annual tournament will be held on Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th June 2024 at Potterne Park, Verwood, BH21 6RS and the format is as follows:

Saturday 15th June

Morning Age 6's, Under 7's & Under 8's Mixed Teams & Under 9's Girls- First kick off 9am

Afternoon Under 12's & Under 13's Mixed Teams & Under 10's Girls - First kick off 2pm

Sunday 16th June

Morning Under 9's & Under 10's Mixed Teams & Under 11's Girls - First kick off 9am

Afternoon Under 11's & Under 14's Mixed Teams & Under 13's Girls - First kick off 2pm

All age groups will be 6-a-side (maximum of 8 players per team) Age groups as for 2023/2024 season. A minimum of 5 teams will be required for us to run a league in any age group.

The Age 6's, Under 7's and Under 8's will play a "Friendly Football Festival" format where no results will be recorded and all players are awarded a medal for participation. All other age groups will be a competitive format where the Winners and Runners Up will win an award

Unfortunately, due to FA rules, no child aged 5 can take part in the football festival, hence age 6's is aimed at players aged 6 at the time of the tournament.

No academy or JPL teams are permitted to enter. We welcome mixed teams and are now running a Girls only section.

Entry Forms for 2024 are all ONLINE - To reserve your space, follow the link to your team's age group and complete our simple form - you must submit your form AND make a secure online payment (via Paypal) to reserve your space. Please quote your team name and age group as a reference

ALL applications will be dealt with on a first come first served basis. Entries received after the closing date will not be accepted.

An entry confirmation and a copy of the rules will be sent to you three weeks prior to the tournament date.
