Report

Difficult to do a report as for the second time this season (both home games) I was left to referee the match as the official had cried off late Friday evening!

However, a change of formation for this battle against the unbeaten league leaders went to plan and we played really well, making lots of chances and in truth are gutted that we did not take all three points. A well taken goal by Chris Hudson in the 25th minute gave us a deserved lead which we held until the award of a penalty in the 75th minute, which they converted. Nine minutes later they took the lead, however credit to the lads they fought back and Jack Mills equalised in the 89th minute. A good point that we would have taken before kick off, especially as we were down to the bare bones of a squad.

Everyone played really well with John Homer and Liam Morrison as the experienced defenders playing with maturity, Andy and Mika in the middle of midfield had the upper hand for the majority of the game and Tristan as the attacking midfielder caused their defence untold problems.

As I said, it is difficult for me to do a report as I was involved in the game, but for the benefit of our followers and readers, I list below the remainder of the squad in case you wondered where certain players have gone!
