Despite a very much changed squad we still couldn’t overcome high flying Cobham

The first half was the determining factor. A goal after 12 minutes and a double just prior to the half time whistle sealed the game.

A lax performance gave time and space to the hosts. We had a few opportunities to put the ball in the net but again squandered them.

The half time whistle blew on a 0-3 score line.

We picked up a bit in the second half but was still unable to claim second balls, attacks were few and far between.

Cobham’s energy levels seemed a lot better than ours

Defensively there was a marked improvement, but Knibbs still had a lot to do.

Cobham managed to notch a fourth with ten minutes gone and looked comfortable without pressure.

Five minutes to go we managed to make inroads on goal and Craciun altered the score board. 1-4.

A late flurry might have made it more respectful, but we fell foul again of the near miss syndrome.
