DORSET PREMIER LEAGUE
WEDNASDAY 25TH MARCH 2026
HAMWORTHY RECREATION RESERVES 0 VERWOOD TOWN 1
We had a couple of absences due to work and injuries but still managed a good squad. A bitterly cold Wednesday night hosted the fixture.
The first 45 minutes determined the 3 points destination. Matt Pope made sure it was Verwood’s, with an unstoppable penalty halfway through the half. 1-0.
Ham Rec retaliation met a strong VTFC defensive curtain leaving the sides going in at half time with VTFC on top.
Half Time 1-0
A fired up HR pressured from the re start testing the back line. Colalleri and Norris did well to contain the flanks and with Pope and Best holding reign on a couple of bustling forwards it25 03 26 gave time for a counter rally.
Lane and Danvers kept the home side busy at the back while Buggey and Knott worked hard keeping the middle of the park tight.
Kerr went close a couple of times, but we settled on the final whistle and three points.
Result. 1-0
