A few injuries meant a changed line up but we were lucky to have a good in depth squad.

Early stages saw us have a slight advantage in possession but again suffering the usual malaise of poor finishing. Hockey Lordache and Morrison had shots but without the required result.

Clanfield counters conversely had a reward after ten minutes when a long range shot dropped into the top corner of the net. 0-1

The rest of the half was the same old story of good possession but no end result.

Clanfield went two up after 20 minutes from the re start. The ball bobbled following a topped shot and slid into the bottom corner !! …0-2.

Then came gifting. Standing off players, allowing plenty of space meant easing of pressure on the home team.

Resulting from a corner, Bignell got a shot in to make it 1-2. The lino informed us that there was 8 to go plus injury.

A brief rally had the Clanfield goal under siege but poor cover in our defence let in a Clanfield counter to secure a score line of 1-3.
