Only a couple of minutes gone and a Weardon threaded ball cut through Cove’s defence releasing Lordache for a run on goal. A good shot on target was well taken by the keeper.

Continued pressure should have yielded a goal as Criciun carved through a chance for Hockey but yet again the side netting was the recipient of a low volley.

14 minutes and a Criciun cross was met by Lordache. A good header gave us the lead 1-0.

Cove responded with attacks down their right but Bignell and Dinnivan were on spot to clear.

33 minutes and a free kick for Cove hit the bar and rebounded. Slack marking in the box allowed a free header …1-1.

Handbags followed but a couple had bricks in resulting in a spate of injuries. Criciun had to be substituted following a bad tackle. Whitelaw came on for a one for one. Kerr was then subjected to a high boot and needed attention. 7 minutes of injury time was the result.

Half time. 1-1

Rough and tumble followed with Dinnivan needing treatment shortly after the whistle while palming out a cross into the box. Saunders then needed attention after being on the end of a sliding tackle and had to replace Miller on the bench.

20 minutes of the half gone and a Cove counter catching us too far forward made it 1-2.

Kerr’s attempts to continue with his injury yielded to a change with Rodriguez substituting.

Another extended time caused through injuries finished with Cove claiming the three points in a 1-2 score line.

Result. 1-2.
