A few changes to the squad because of work patterns and injuries meant positional manoeuvrings to our line up.

NM was off the mark quickly testing Dinnivan. Good hands stopped an early lead for the hosts. Pressure continued. We gradually got into the game but had to wait for the first 15 minutes to elapse before breaking into NM’s third to test the keeper.

Criciun and Lordache created space for a Miller attempt but the shot was straight at the keeper. Opportunity gone.

We didn’t offer much of a threat to NM’s defence and it was inevitable that constant pressure would yield. 22 minutes and NM went ahead 1-0.

A minute to half time we pushed up too far and space gave a golden opportunity for a NM second which they gladly took.

We started well from the whistle but on the night NM were the better of the sides and we had to withstand constant pressure.

Toth and Bentley did well stopping ariel attacks. Whitelaw and Brazier did well containing flank raids and although we had the occasional break couldn’t produce a finish.

Half way through the half a New Milton attack hotly disputed as an offside run finished with a high cross and a header on the far post. 0-3.

It was a tame finish but three points for New Milton.
