…and Pep thinks he has problems with his misfiring City side!!! It pales into insignificance in comparison to Carl Rolfe’s non-firing Verwood side.

A very charitable Verwood gave hosts Follands a massive Christmas gift of three points. Comments in the viewers cubicle reckoned our walking football display was just the job to help them gain bragging rights.

A lack lustre 28 minutes saw both sides struggle to gain an advantage. Then a penalty award, hotly disputed, but held, gave Follands the lead. 0-1.

A spark, 7 minutes later saw Bentley slip a through ball for Miller to score his first goal for the Club …. 1-1.

Very little followed and both teams went in at half time level pegging.

It was as though Moses made an appearance on the whistle and parted a dozy defence for Follands to coast through in the first minute and slip the ball into the bottom corner . 1-2.

We couldn’t raise our game to compete. Follands enjoyed possession and we were constantly on the back foot.

We had a couple of token attacks towards the final whistle but left with a disappointing result and an equally disappointing display.
