5 minutes after the whistle we were one down !!! Mentally unprepared with heads still in the dressing room. A lesson learned.

Hamworthy sensed uncertainties and pushed on. Luckily, we were able to offer some resistance and rallied although looking disjointed.

The changes made to defence gradually gelled and Hamworthy’s early dominance was curbed.

We had a poor first half with passing erratic and more of a defensive approach giving Hamworthy’s defence an easy 45 minutes.

Ten minutes to go a lapse in concentration let in an opportunity, 0-2.

Half Time 0-2.

We used the break to wake up. A much better approach from the re start had Hamworthy on the back foot but we’d couldn’t find the net.

A snap counterattack made it 0-3 with ten minutes gone giving a lesson on taking chances.

No heads dropped. We relaxed our defensive mode and hit back. Whitelaw went close with a half chance sparked by a Pope through ball and then Kay threaded a ball past a central defence for Buggey to try his luck. Although on target the keeper stopped any celebrations.

Five minutes left and Fletcher stepped up and hammered an unstoppable shot past the keeper into the top corner. 1-3.

Hamworthy had a packed defence for the rest of the 90minutes surviving the score line and taking the 3 points.

Result. 1-3.
