We had a few changes to line up because of work demands that allowed another outing for 16 yr old Harry Buggey who stepped up from our U18’s.

Fleetlands were pumped up and attacked from the whistle. Mitchell was employed in the first couple minutes taking a couple of catches in the penalty box. Defensively we were under pressure from both flanks and central high balls.

We wilted on 20 minutes allowing passage from a cross and tap in. 0-1. Three minutes later we were two down after failing to settle. We continued to be lethargic and suffered another goal down with only 30 minutes gone. 0-3.

Then came a breather. The lights failed !!!

Half Time was reached with the lights back on but no more goals.

We couldn’t get into rhythm and a rampant Fleetlands peppered our defence.

Towards the end of the half Fleetlands hit a purple patch and put three more in the net to close scoring at 0-6.

We had a couple of brief attacks but couldn’t turn anything past the keeper.

An off night for Verwood and a comfortable win for Fleetlands.
