Ben Morgan suffered a hamstring pull during warm up and was substituted at the start by Jack Warburton.

We had a brisk opening spell with both teams looking for an early goal. Danvers was our spark with a run down the left and an angled volley going just over the bar.

Fawley’s answer was an immediate counter broken up by Kimber. For some inexplicable reason we lost impetus allowing Fawley freedom on the ball. It pressurized defence but Orchard Warburton and Pope coped well.

The half continued with Fawley having slightly more possession than us, but on counters we should have had a couple of goals but fired blanks.

Carswell, McWilliams and Shepherd all went close but at the break the score board remained blank until with a minute to go we allowed a runner through the middle …0-1.

Half Time. 0-1 The re start saw Matt Pope come on for Olli Lowes and Louis Bragginton making way for Cam Smith.

Fawley continued where they left off, on the attack. Warburton blocked one run and Phillips brought off a great save diving low to his left.

Joe Kimber came off after 11 minutes giving George Richardson a run on a one for one switch.

We had a flurry of good football, Hockey hammered a low ball past the post and McWilliams went close on 23 minutes but still not beating the keeper.

5 minutes later Richardson sustained injury and on came Bennett.

We pressed for the remainder of the game but drew a blank.
