What a difference. We came out awake and looking sharp.

5 minutes and Kimber’s through ball found Shepherd. A rough and tumble tackle didn’t stop Shepherds run. A shot just inside the box deserved a goal but with the keeper rooted the ball clipped the wrong side of the post to go for dead.

Reece Mitchell back from a stint down the road made a great save from a shot close in and at the other end T&E keeper did the same from a Broad left foot blaster.

It was a vastly different performance from the Alresford debacle and we thoroughly deserved to go ahead on 19 minutes as Bennett cut in from the right and smashed an angled shot past the keeper ..1-0.

24 minutes gone and T&E drew level from a loose ball the area. An opportunistic strike 1-1.

Half Time. 1-1

T&E’s half time chat sparked a retaliatory few minutes but with Morgan & Orchard holding the middle, supported by Braggington and Danvers we made it difficult for T&E’s attack.

We gained more possession as the game reached the half way stage but couldn’t benefit from attacks.

Towards the end Reece Mitchell excelled making a double save from point blank efforts.

Bennett made way for Richardson. Isaac Storey came on for Matt Pope. Sam Farndell got minutes at the expense of Louis Braggington.

In the last few minutes (squeaky bum time) both ends of the pitch saw action. Both Keeper’s kept the ball out of the net leaving the score board at 1-1 on the whistle.
