Max Mason and Brother Regan made their bow in this away fixture against Fleet Spurs.

We still looked off the money in terms of a cohesive structure and too may balls were lost in the early stages.

15 minutes gone and we suffered a lapse going behind 0-1. A minute later we went two down as we failed to close ranks on Spurs attack. Then a third rattled in as we collapsed in defending and concentration.

It needed a leader. Someone to rally, unfortunately we lacked that facility on the day.

There was a gradual grip on play with Smith Cooper and Hall showing the way.

The Masons did well to slot in on their debut and Matt Davis took time to settle before making his mark on the game.

Half Time 0-3.

As with the last few outings we produced a much better second half performance suffering a hotly disputed ref decision to wave away claims for what some described as a blatant penalty.

Carswell followed up a Bradley through ball only to shoot wide while Cooper had a volley blocked inside the box.

Evans proved a handful to the Spurs defence but just couldn’t get that bit of extra slice of luck to see the ball hit the back of the net.

We finished up with another defeat.

We seem to need 45 minutes to realize we’re in a game and then produce some good football in the last 45 minutes that needs pruning in front of the sticks.
