Exmouth's reception was superb. Good facilities a friendly and welcoming committee heralded our first friendly of the season. We had lots of new faces for the game and although we had managed a couple of weeks training we looked a little disjointed at the kick off.

Exmouth set about the game with a better organised approach and we suffered a lapse of early concentration going behind to a simple goal.

We rallied and Butler went close with a rasping shot binging a great save from the home keeper. We were on the back foot for a while and suffered another goal half way through the half.

Anderton was our lynch pin at the back and luckily had Watkins and Hall alongside. Our keeper on the day did well but suffered the back of the net lifting again just on half time.

The second half produced a much better performance and we pulled back the deficit with a Butler rocket.

Josh Hall spring boarded a good attacking move on the right and then finished off in style netting our second.

Exmouth were too strong on the day and rattled home another two goals before we responded with a third.

The final score was 5-3 to the home side.

It was a good day out and we enjoyed the bonhomie. We wish our hosts every success in the forthcoming season.
