VTLFC were at home today against Poole Town Ladies FC 1st team.

This was a true underdog challenge and the team went out with the freedom to just go out and play. Two things were asked....never give up and stick together as a team.

The team did the whole club proud in their ethos today. Playing with heart and spirit in facing an opposition much higher in experience and ability. Even with the scoreline being a consistent 6 goals in each half against they never gave up and put their mind, body and soul into each of the 90 minutes.

I could ask for a lesser scoreline but i could not ask for more of a solid team performance. The ability and experience of our opposition was the difference today. Good luck to Poole for the next round and 2 players of the match go to Karla Jordan for a world class GK performance and Lottie Kimber for playing out of position and putting in a solid CB shift.
