Both teams worked hard to get the game played with Verwood calling in favours from Groundsman, refs, linesman and the weathermakers to ensure it went ahead.
After a late cancellation and ref pull out at Wimborne the fixture was reversed.

Wimborne were quickest out of the blocks to get a 2 goal advantage after a period of 15 minutes back and forth. Verwood battled hard to get back in the game and a long ranging strike from the left by Sammie Humphries caught the keeper off guard and nestled in the right hand corner to go into the break 2-1 down.

Both teams again battled for possession and take ownership with clinical forward play from Wimborne they cut through and scored 2 further goals in the 2nd half as Verwood pushed forward to look for the equaliser.

Overall it was a good game from 2 teams not giving up for the ball and was decided on the back of a couple of possessional and positional errors which were exploited to cut through the defense.
