Today Verwood Ladies were on their travels playing away at Dorchester Ladies. Another very blustery afternoon and a pitch with a gradient suitable for hill rolling made getting an initial foothold difficult.

Dorchester took control of the game in the intial 15 minutes and we found ourselves 3 nil down. This allowed Dorch to keep pressing while we were scrambling trying to get in the game. Dorch breached gaps and players pulled out of position found themselves through to score a further 3 goals before half time.

The 2nd half was gonna be even tougher playing uphill and against the wind.. Verwood continued in high spirits and all players kept their heads up. We tried to get the ball down and played at times some good football however, found it hard to get out and at their back 4.

Dorch remained a continual threat at goal and our defence and goal keeper having little restbite. This led to a further 6 goals in the 2nd half conceeded against us.
