A beautiful sunny day and Verwood Town Ladies welcomed Dorchester Town Ladies onto on a perfect pitch prepared for us by the undisputed Chief of Cranborne.

The game was played with high spirits and commitment througout the full 90 minutes. Dorchester showed why they are in the league position they are, however, Verwood fought for every ball and to a player, gave everything they had for each other.

Unfortunate events meant the game had to be played with only the starting 11. With not having a full depth of squad, the welcomed fresh legs were a treat that Dorchester could use to their advantage.

Thanks goes to Dorchester Ladies FC for a well played respectful game but bigger thanks goes to the 11 Verwood players who battled for a full 90 minutes showing a true example of what we actually stand for as a club.
