A Fawley goal in the first minute created an uphill struggle we never conquered.

We staged a token rally with midfield winning individual battles but we needed more than the G force to trouble the home team.

Guthrie and Gale provided hope of pulling a goal back but a couple of corners were well policed by Fawley keeping them in front

33 minutes and Fawley went 0-2 ahead with a simple strike.

We had to defend an onslaught and managed to prevent any further goals to half time.

Half Time 0-2

In the second half we didn't have enough in the locker to give any trouble to Fawley and capitulated. Two more goals completed Fawley's input and had it not been for a Haigh double save from a penalty it could have been a nap hand.

Guthrie scored a stunner to give the score line a more respectable appearance but naiviety cost us dearly.
