Stroud Harding Bailey Gajic Evans Thomas Kimber Goddard Wood Gill Cleft took the field leaving Giles Moore and Green on the bench.

Tadley's long ball from the whistle was intercepted by Bailey and a good turn with close control gave space for a line ball bringing Gill into the game. Gill went wide of his marker and sent a low ball into the box. Wood connected with a good left foot shot but the keeper was well placed to take a catch.

Was this a sign of things to come ?

Tadley worked the ball through mid field finally going wide left. Harding was in quickly to rob the flank man and then outpaced the back to fire a great cross into the box. In came Cleft to hit the side netting.

Tadley again sprung a good attack from the dead ball kick but on the edge of our box ran into Gajic and Evans. A combined block stopped progress and Bailey went wide to collect from Evans. A chip over a defender and gave Cleft a chance of a run on goal. Good feet took him into the corner of the box but the shot finished in safe hands.

9 minutes of pressure paid off. Cleft delivered a low ball through the back four and Wood went free to score low to the keeper's left. 1-0.

We pressed forward but Martin Gilham's discipline in holding a solid defence meant little opportunity for counter attacks.

Bailey, Cleft then Goddard moved the ball high into Tadley's defence. The move finished with a Gill volley inches wide of the upright.

On 18 minutes Cleft was rewarded for his efforts slamming a low shot past the keeper from the edge of the area. 2-0.

We were now enjoying the majority of possession with both Harding and Bailey working the flanks with overlapping runs.

Tadley had to break and with 33 minutes gone it was Cleft again rifling in a third from 20 yards. 3-0.

The keeper stopped a stunning shot from Wood and then followed the save with another full length dive preventing Kimber from being mentioned on the score sheet.

44 minutes Kimber released Wood through the middle and Wood made no mistake burying the ball into the bottom Corner 4-0.

Half Time 4-0.

Damien Gill's groin injury meant a substitution so Paul Green joined Joe Wood up front.

Tadley's half time team talk was effective and some bright football had Harding and Evans busy. A ball crossed from the left was well watched by Short and a hefty punch cleared the area.

Gajic's strong tackle won him the ball and rounding two mid fielder's whipped an inch perfect pass to Cleft. Cleft's threaded pass freed Green and a shot on the turn was well saved by the keeper.

Tadley retaliated with a good move down the left and a good cross was intercepted and cleared by Gajic.

Evans headed clear another ball into our box and Bailey blocked an attempted cross from the right.

It was a brief spell of defending but we kept tight and the score sheet blank.

Goddard sparked a move through the middle bringing Wood and Thomas into the attack. Thomas hit a brilliant shot on the turn but agonised to se the ball fly wide of the upright.

55 minutes gone and Evans pulled up short with an achilles problem. A straight switch had Ben Giles joining Chas Gajic in a central pairing.

12 minutes gone and Cleft fired a low ball into the area for Kimber to sweep it past the keeper. 5-0. We were now well on top.

Gajic joined in up front to power a header from a corner past the keeper but a defender's foot got in the way of a goal.

5 minutes later Kimber notched another with a great volley from just outside the box making it 6-0.

Rob Moore came on for Harrison Harding as the teams again re started.

70 minutes Wood rounded the keeper to get his hat trick. 7-0.

73 minutes and Kimber earned a penalty racing into the box. Result … a Kimber hat trick and a score line of 8-0.

We gave away a pass in our third with 10 minutes left and a runner spoiled the afternoon slipping the ball into the net off the post. 8-1.

We went close again on 90 minutes but couldn't increase the score line.
